Pumpkin Spiced Smoothie

i am pumped up on (PUMP)kin. when September hits you see pumpkin spiced everything hit the shelves & drive through menus. it's something i look forward to, but i tend to steer clear of the seasonal fall foods that are full of refined sugars & processed ingredients. so, in an effort to get my fall pumpkin spice fix, i came up with this smoothie, a new fall (or really any season) favourite. 


what you'll need:

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 scoop collagen peptides (optional - vital proteins)
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp organic pumpkin puree
  • 1-2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric 
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ice 

the steps:

  1. add all ingredients into a high speed blender & blend until smooth

toppings: 

  • unsweetened coconut 
  • toasted pumpkin seeds 
  • Natures Path Qi'a cocoa coconut superflakes
