beet berry smoothie

 

this smoothie be(et) poppin'. a nourishing smoothie doesn't have to be boring & dull! everything you eat should not only sustain you, but should also satisfy you (& having you going back for seconds)! sneaking in a beautifully roasted beet is an amazing way to naturally add a boost of colour & nutrients. since beets are naturally high in sugar, they are also a great way to add a little sweetness to your smoothie without adding refined sugar! 


what you'll need:

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (plant or whey)
  • 1 scoop collagen peptides (optional) 
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1/2 cup frozen kale
  • 1 small roasted beet (or a 1/4 of a large beet) 
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • h2o
  • ice 

the steps:

  1. add all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth

  • spirulina & raw carob dusted popcorn
