Mint Matcha Smoothie

matcha is a beautiful alternative to coffee & has some major health benefits that are un (match)ed. if you are a matcha fan but normally enjoy the powerful powder as a warm tea or latte, this chilled beverage is the perfect frothy blendy to cool down with.  

matcha is a beautiful alternative to other stimulants like coffee. don't get me wrong, I'm a major fan of the bean, but sometimes my body craves a green caffeine alternative. i decided to put a chill spin on this traditional Japanese powder, still reaping all of the amazing health benefits. curious what exactly those benefits are?

what you'll need: 

  • 1-2 tsp Matcha
  • 1/2 tsp mint extract
  • 1/2 green power blend (harmonic arts)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/4 cup organic kefir
  • water + ice

the steps:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender
