  • 1 package of extra firm organic tofu

  • corn starch

  • 1 cup nut milk (i used almond)

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp chilli powder

  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

the steps:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350.

  2. In a bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, chilli powder, smoked paprika and salt. Stir so that the ingredients are well incorporated.

  3. Remove the tofu from the packaging and pat it dry with a cloth or paper towel.

  5. Remove the tofu from the ziplock bag & dip each piece into the almond milk. Then, coat each piece in the almond flour chilli mixture. Continue doing so until all of the tofu has been breaded.

  6. In a cast iron pan over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Once melted, add the tofu to the pan & brown both sides. This should take approximately 3 min on each side.

  7.  Transfer the cast iron pan to the oven & bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crisp & slightly firm.

  8. Remove from the pan & add to your favourite plant based meals!
