Whether you like it poured over a big bowl of crunchy granola, frothed to perfection & gently place on a fresh brewed cup of coffee, blended into your favourite smoothie, or folded into a delicious batch of dairy-free gooey chocolate chuck cookies (DROOL!), this homemade hemp milk is the perfect alternative to conventional dairy, soy & other nut milks.
This recipe is really basic (In a good way), allowing you to adapt it to your taste preference & prepare it in a matter of minutes! Oh & what's an added bonus? There's no soaking or straining required! The pulp is virtually non existent due to the softness of the hemp seed.
I've chosen to feature hemp hearts for of all the pervious reasons, but also because of their nutritional profile. Did you know, hemp hearts contain 10 grams of plant-based protein and 10 grams of omega-3 and omega-6 per 30-gram serving (more than a comparable serving of flax or chia). If you want to see how exactly these little seeds stack up to other super seeds, click here.
