Mushrooms & coffee caulicream elixir

Looking for something that will get you out of bed or help beat that afternoon energy drop (i'll do anything)... To be honest, while I always crave caffeine (by the litre), there are days when the thought of a hot coffee elevates my body temperature... & a cold brew doesn't last me more than 2 minutes (if only I drank water that quick...). So whats a caffeine-aholic to do when the sun is already pouring through your windows at 6am & you're already mapping out the to-do list for the day? It's time to get whole food fuel in you, with an extra kick of the energizing bean! This caulicream bowl combines three of my absolute favourite things; chocolate, coffee & peanut butter (heaven). In my bowl i've used a coffee mix made from high quality arabica coffee combined with two powerful ingredients, dual-extracted wild-crafted siberian chaga mushroom & dual-extracted cordyceps mushroom. Here a little more info on the benefits of each ingredient included in the mushroom coffee blend by four sigmatic:

arabica coffee:

premium instant coffee is 100 percent Arabica variety, grown in the highlands of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas in Mexico. It is grown under the canopy of shade trees in rich, volcanic soil. After carefully roasting and brewing the beans, they concentrate the coffee by evaporation, and finish it off by spray-drying it into a pure instant powder.

dual-extracted wild-crafted siberian chaga mushroom:

They use their renowned wild-crafted chaga mushroom dual-extract in this coffee blend, performing both hot water and alcohol extraction on the mushrooms, and standardize the final product to have at least 30 percent polysaccharides (more than 15 percent beta-glucans) and 2 percent triterpenes. As always, the pure spray-dried extract powders don’t contain any sugars, fillers, or carriers.

dual-extracted cordyceps mushroom:

Coffee is so energizing because it stimulates the central nervous system and adrenal glands. Combining this with the more balanced cellular energy support of cordyceps mushroom can result in balanced stimulation while using only half of the amount of caffeine normally found in coffee!

They use the cultivated fruiting bodies of Cordyceps militaris, which have been shown in studies to have energy supporting properties, performing both hot water and alcohol extraction on their mushrooms, and standardize the final product to have at least 30 percent polysaccharides (including more than 15 percent beta-glucans) and 0.5 percent adenosine. No starch, sugars, or any fillers at all.

what you'll need:

  • 3/4 cup almond milk

  • 200g frozen cauli rice

  • 60g frozen avo (approx half a small avo)

  • 1 tbsp cacao poweder

  • 1 package Four sigmatic mushroom coffee mix

  • 1 tsp lucuma

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 1 scoop collagen peptides (vital protein)

The steps:

  1. In a high speed blender, first add the almond milk.

  2. Layer in the remaining ingredients & start the blender on low.

  3. Use your tamper to assist the blender. If needed, slowly add more nut milk, approximately 1/8 cup. Start to increase the speed & use the tamper until all ingredients are incorporated & you achieve a smooth consistency.
