Spirulina St. Patricks Day Bliss Ball

Green grub, it's part of the fun when it comes to putting together the perfect st.patrick's day menu! But no more are artificial dyes the answer (no, no, no). Green food just got a whole lot more pure & well, green (like from the earth). It's no new news that I'm a bliss ball fan girl! They're the perfect addition to a thick smoothie, afternoon nosh, night cap ... #rawballanydamnday! So today i wanted to create a quick & easy bliss ball green-ified with spirulina, a serious superfood! Obviously these are perfectly festive of a st.patty's celebration, but really can be enjoyed for any occasion, or any old day. So, here are the goods...


what you'll need:

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut  

  • 9 medjool dates

  • 1/4 cup raw hemp hearts 

  • 1/2 tsp spirulina

  • 1/2 tsp salt

the steps:

  1. IN A FOOD PROCESSOR PULSE TOGETHER all ingredients until you a achieve a fine CONSISTENCY.

  2. FIRMLY PRESS 1 TBSP. OF THE DOUGH INTO BALLS. PLACE IN THE FREEZER ON A PLATE OR FLAT SURFACE TO FIRM, FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES.

  3. STORE IN AN AIRTIGHT GLASS CONTAINER IN THE FRIDGE FOR UP TO 7 DAYS OR IN THE FREEZER FOR A MONTH; MAKE LARGE BATCHES TO STORE SNACKS AHEAD OF TIME.
